These four are also some of the largest fish, with records of 59 inches for a Northern Pike, 54 inches for a Lake Trout, a 39 inch Walleye and a 42 ˝ inch Burbot.

Fishing in Manitoba brings with it lasting memories of outdoor adventures such as boating and fishing on one of over 100,000 lakes in the province. There are 53 Provincial Parks from which to select your next adventure in boating or fishing. Four of the parks take up the northwest region and account for some of the world record catches. Water temperatures between twelve and eighteen degrees Celsius are ideal fishing conditions for trophy Trout and generally late spring to early summer.
